TaxSaleNinja LLC ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use TaxSaleNinja ("the Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

Profile Information

You may optionally provide a phone number (used only for SMS alerts on the Operator plan) and timezone preference.

Usage Data

We collect data about how you use the Service, including portfolio assets you add, checklists you complete, watchlist states, and alert preferences. This data is used to provide and improve the Service.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account.

Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how the Service is used in aggregate. PostHog data is anonymized and used only to improve the product.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Service
• To send deadline alerts, auction notifications, and account emails
• To process subscription payments and manage billing
• To respond to support requests
• To improve the Service through aggregate usage analytics
• To send product updates and announcements (you can opt out at any time)

4. Third-Party Services

We share your data with the following third-party services as necessary to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting. Your data is stored in Supabase's secure infrastructure.
• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your payment details and billing information.
• Resend — transactional email delivery for alerts and account notifications.
• Twilio (Operator plan only) — SMS delivery for deadline alerts if you have a phone number on file.
• PostHog — product analytics (anonymized).
• Vercel — application hosting and edge infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes (e.g., transaction records).

Portfolio assets are soft-deleted (marked as archived) rather than permanently deleted, to preserve audit history during active subscriptions.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure credential storage, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Export your portfolio data (available via CSV export on Pro and Operator plans)

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies (PostHog) are used only when a PostHog key is configured and may be blocked using standard browser settings.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
